i practice somethin along the lines of judeo pagan, and wiccan... i believe in the idea of a god and satan just that they do nothing, and the form of religion i follow allows me o believe in a mix of almost all religions intertwined, *incuding the fae*
i recently fell into the study of demonology, the paths(otherkin) etc and have incorporated all of such into my belief systems, i work mostly with any god of war or death and ask them to take part in my rituals of magic, mostly cermonial, and simple candle magics. my lycan partner( i usualy refer to as deity) helps me alot, he surged gratitude when i opted the name shinigami for him so thats what it has been since his awakening. i myself choose the wicca name of harbinger.

i have been mixing spells and rituals of multiple religions and forms to create my own kind of chaos magic... allowing me to practice almost unhindered and outside of many rules and regulations set by anyone who might take offense to my studies...

Well technically speaking, all religions outside the oldest three (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) are considered pagan so I'd say most of the religions we follow would be called that.

As for me, I define myself as a pagan mainly due to what I have studied over the years. I have seen the pluses and minuses of most of the world religions, and because of how I choose to live and what I practice/preach, I have realized I live by a combination of Wicca, Catholicism, Buddhism, and Shamanism. It seems odd I know, but I really don't believe in being one-sided and closed minded when it comes to such things. And I have experienced the benefits of being this way so I know it works.

I also practice certain holidays, rituals, and divination in line with my lifestyle and I am always willing to offer insight and guidance to these if anyone is ever interested. I have learned to respect nature and live a peaceful life while at the same time keeping true to my moral/financial obligations and its not as hard as some may make it seem. I'm happy with who I am and what I'm about without jeopardizing anyone's uniqueness. And as I said before, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. Send me a pm or we can chat online. The religions of the book are far from the oldest three. Judaism is pretty old, sure, but Islam is actually relatively new. Religions like Zoroastrianism are much more ancient.

I appreciate the general point you are making, though. 'Pagan' religions are those that came before the new religions and which were then classified as ignorant or heretical by the newcomers. Our current definition of pagan is defined by the religions we currently consider to be 'living'.

...Not to mention the fact that it's all gotten mixed in with New Age-y nonsense and made up rubbish

In a organizational sense, I'm a druid. But I have some Eastern beliefs as well. I do meditation...some personal energy work, tarot cards, and the occasional candle spell.

I worship Artemis as my primary deity, but also Inari, Shiva, Aine, Athena, Brighid, Cernunnos, Lugh, Nuada, many other deities...

And my variety of druid also worships the nature spirits and the ancestors. I'm not sure what else to say right now...I'm up too late.
