Post Neil Gaiman
Thought I should re-start the thread about how much Neil Gaiman owns, so feel free to discuss his awesomeness and your favorite work by him :)

Personally, I love his short stories, American Gods, Good Omens (his collaboration w/ Terry Pratchett), and Stardust the most, though I've read all of his stuff...except some of his children's books and haven't read all of Sandman.

Sandman is off da hook, as is American Gods and Good Omens.

Neil Gaiman is a great author with a very interesting outlook on the world.

Neverwhere's a great book too. It's also a BBC miniseries...which isn't so fabulous lol.

My friend owned softbound copies of his Sandman series (which I devoured) and I am very happy to have a paperback copy of American Gods. It goes on my personal mythology shelf along with the movies Constantine and the Underworld series as inspirations for how I think about all things spiritual, including otherkin. I don't know how he does it, I'm just glad he does.

I have a signed copy of Coraline :D

I haven't read any of his other works, though I've seen the movies based on them (which were pretty good). Once I work through my huge "to read" pile, I'm definitely moving into Gaiman's other works.

I've only read Sandman.
I like Sandman as a character but there is something I dislike about Death that I cannot define.

I certainly prefer Alan Moor as a comic book artist.

Pssst...Graphic novel artists.

Though I love Alan Moore's graphic novels, I have to say that the complete Sandman collection just does it for me. To me, Neil Gaiman is like the epitome of fantasy writing...

lol
right.... over here, we call everything with a series of pictures a "comic book" ;p

but in any case, I consider Moore more philosophical.
Especially Promethea and V for Vendetta.

Not that Gaiman is not...

Recently I saw Mirror Mask. It was a damn good movie, if I do say so.

It's one of my absolute favourites. The lack of people who've seen it is saddening.
